In court today, it looks like the defense was granted a continuance, and they reaffirmed their waver of a speedy trial.

The next pre-trial hearing is set for 9/27/12.

@firefly,
Thanks Firefly. Looks like it would be a while before Mr. Swift's trial gets underway.

Apparently beachboy and wildhourses like to stir the pot. Thom Swift does not know Michael. It's almost their stirring the pot to keep this site interesting. Gay folks are a trip! Throwing that boy under the bus.

@Tate12,
Oh but he does know Michael and their not talking about Michael “MJ’ that lives in skyline fifth.

I had heard Michael was the one who was with Thom that night but I’m not 100% positive about it being Michael’s car, I always though he drove a truck.

@Tate12,
If you don’t know the two Michaels they’re talking about you probably don’t know Thom or anything about the incident except from what you’re read on here.

@Keith424,
I'm quite fimilar with both Michaels and know them on a very personal bases. However, Michael K was not involved in that fatal night. Granted Michael K had a previous accident, but that was in Tampa. All I'm saying is just get the facts straight.

@Tate12,
There are so many rumors going around because most involved spend half their time drinking at Georgie’s. That’s what happens after too many cocktails people start shooting their mouths off.

@Tate12,
It was Michael that was with Thom that night, you’re just trying to keep **** from being stirred because somehow you think you know them. I do like Michael J. he’s a nice guy, don’t care for the other one. Since you’re such a good friend of his why not find him a job. That way the loser isn’t sponging off everyone else in town.

@MMarciano,
It was nice seeing you two out last night. Did you notice all Thom's friends, including both Michaels drink off their asses as usual

I hope that MERCY will dump itself all over Tom
and that he will effortlessly (and expenselessly) find contentment and serenity.
He didn't mean any harm.

I think that he has suffered too much already. I wish him HAPPINESS.

Let 's bear in mind that Tom 's legal liability
shud not be affected by what his friends choose to do.

I think that shud be spelled: TOWING the line.

tow
verb (used with object)
1. to pull or haul (a car, barge, trailer, etc.) by a rope, chain,
or other device: The car was towed to the service station.

Maybe Hawkeye meant to say toeing, and Adam4Adam was on the right track. Maybe Hawkeye has trouble keeping his balance and walking a straight line. Drunk and comprehending and following the discussion in this thread. Drunk Drunk Drunk

@OmSigDAVID,
That's not what 'toeing the line' means, at all. It's spelled the way it is for a very specific reason.
