Tis the shopping season - amazon deals

Actually, I think the shoe tape dispenser is sort of cute. If I knew a young woman who was a shoe freak, I might buy it for her to use on her desk or as a gag gift.

I just went to Amazon to check the current lightning deals, and, before I even got to see them, this was on a page of items they were recommending for me. Absolutely none of the items was connected to my purchase history or browsing history.

Oh, my. Quite the "deal".

I just found it odd, that the more normal items - DVD, ipod, etc. did not sell out during the lightening deal time, whereas this tape dispenser did.

It was actually marked down enough, I suppose, I could see it being a deal if you were in the market for such an item.

I think if you click on an item (maybe you saw something odd) - then they add it as an interest.

I now have this item...


And when I click on this I do see your drinking toliet as "customers who bought this item also bought.

I received a different shoe tape dispenser as a gift. I've seen several of the black pump one around.

I bought a lobster claw staple remover for a colleague who had just celebrated an early anniversary (2 months) by cooking lobster for her BF. Huge hit - it's on her FB profile.

There's a definite market for desk accessories that aren't related to golf.

That would be a great gag gift for an office co-worker with a potty mouth.
