Lately my computer has had an announcement come over the speakers, and I don't know why it's started happening, or how to shut it off.
It starts out "If you want to clean your cache, go to Internet tools..." then I click the mute icon on the desktop toolbar to just stop listening to it.
But it kinda freaks me out, because this just started within the last couple weeks, and I don't have any idea what's causing it, or how to get rid of it.
Anyone got any suggestions?
@snood,
Now that's a brand new one to me. Never heard of that happening. Will watch this space for opinions from the experts (I ain't one of 'em).
what anti virus have you got?
Run IT!
if you have run it and this is still happening, I would suggest .. Majorgeek.com, d/l spy bot, and then find malware bites.
run both of those. That combination should rid that..
Check to see if you have any voice-synth or text-to-speech aids on (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > Narrator)
This can also occur with Google Toolbar
