It's quite normal to mix diverse tastes when preparing food. i.e. pork & apple sauce, trad Scots prefer salt on their porridge (oatmeal) rather than milk & sugar. Some like pickled onions with their fish & chips.
Do you have odd tastes. I'm eating 2 sliced bananas with a lemon & lime
yogurt. was going to add ice cream, but no room in the bowl

UhOh, Oak. Last night I mixed apples and oranges...<smile>

Seriously, Last night for dinner, I tried a new recipe. Today, I don't feel so well. Hope it wasn't the flu that attacks poultry.

Believe it or not, I developed a taste for peanut butter sandwiches and pickles....

I tend to stay with mixing traditional foods with each other. However, I do like a chunk of cheese with an apple.

Colorbook, I have meant to comment on your wonderful avatar, love it.

I think cheese and apple do have a tradition - my mother used to serve cheese with apple pie.

Sweet potato pie, I love it! Well, the revamped eye vision is still fuzzy, should take a few weeks to come around. Maybe I should have a nice piece of pie...

Apple pie without cheese/Is like a hug without a squeeze!

So saith my gramma, anyhow. We put the cheese on top of the pie and run it under the broiler sometimes...

Also, you don't get bird flu from the meat, or from other people. It's only transmissible from live birds...

Sorry, folks, just thinking tonight about what goes in must come out...

Things have become so trendy--the Atkins diet--(not O.J. of course)...a small giggle about O.J. Simpson.
