Would you exit reality to live in a virtual world of happiness?

@JLNobody,
It's true that a number of influential philosophers have held that evil doings lead to unhappiness because happiness is the result of being ethical. The problem of course being how to assess "ethical".

By what set of criteria do you make such an absolutist claim?

Hegal was (some posit) influenced by Buddhism (Tibetan) the claim is a Tibetan Buddhist claim and expressed in my post to JLN.

(edit) The set of criteria cannot be explained in a post... it's not that straightforward. JLN knows it is based on the Heart Sutra.

@RvP10,
Well, technically, you cannot exit the reality. Reality let you experience pleasant feelings which will continue with different degree of variations to keep you from getting too used to it. But in machine life your happiness will be programmed for the rest of your life, as happiness comes from unplanned things. Though nothing will be lost as everything you experienced is artifcally produced. So, now what would you choose?

My version is:
All we need to be happy is something to look forward to.
When you don't have that, you are ready to exit.

These are some fantasy worlds you can imagine all day long but I would rather prefer to live out in the real one.
