Asphalt driveway sealing

We recently hired a contractor to seal our asphalt driveway, mainly because the cracks on the driveway. After sealing, all cracks on driveway are still there (see picture). The contractor said that is normal. He said those cracks are too small for crack filler (must be 2/1 inch wide for crack filler) and too large for sealer to seal. Is that true? I have doubt about that. I expect all cracks being sealed during seal/coating process. And I am worried those cracks will become worse. Thanks!! - Sue
