Is 'denomination' used only of Christianity only

Where I live, many people think of 'denomination' as related to Christianity only. But I think the word can be used of any other religion. Am I correct?

Thanks.

@Yoong Liat,
I looked up a combination of Jewish and denomination on Google to see what I'd find and I got:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Jewish_denominations

Then tried Hindi denominations to get:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_denominations

It also works for Buddhism as well apparently.

I guess denomination can be used for other religions but I too haven't heard it used anyone use it suchly in either conversation or academic setting. Go figure.
