Oh Gracie - You just keep amazing me in terms of how many things in your life are freakily similar to things in my life.
You won't believe this, but I adopted my daughter when she was four and a half months old and the name she was given by the social worker at the hospital was 'Melinda'. I liked it and said, 'If her birthmother gave her that name let's keep it.'
My husband had always loved the name Olivia and really wanted a daughter named Olivia, so he said, 'Let's see a picture of her and if she looks like a Melinda and her birthmother gave her that name, we can keep it, but if she doesn't look like a Melinda and her birthmother didn't give her that name (he was abandoned in the hospital and named by the social worker - that's why he even knew to think about it), let's name her Olivia.

Well, we got the picture and we both said, 'Oh - she's an Olivia'- she's interracial and has olive skin- and we asked and found out she was named by hospital staff- so we named her 'Olivia Grace'...but the name Melinda will always have a special place in my heart.

Then I'll come home and make a chicken pie for supper, take my dog for a walk, take another bath and go to bed and read because I'll need to get up early tomorrow and go to work.
It's a beautiful sunny day today and I'm so happy I get to do all this stuff while the sun is shining because I'm off from work today!

It might be helpful for u, in the future, to know that when I was hiring personnel for my law firm, in another century,
we always got too many applicants for the advertized available jobs. Thay paid fairly well.
Sometimes we had maybe 7 jobs (professional and/or clerical) or just 3, and we got around 4OO resumes in the mail,
in response to our newspaper ads. It fell to me, with or without my partners,
to choose the best of the best applicants, relatively few of whom were offered jobs.

One of the criteria that I applied in weeding out applicants was self mutilation, including tatoos.
I inferred too much of a possibility or of a probability that this was indicative of rage, directed inwardly.
I was concerned that this rage coud be re-directed with malice toward my firm. Years before I established my firm, I had seen that happen
(for instance, with shocking arrangements of hair, etc., that I deemed indicative of mental disturbance).
I did not wanna hire potential trouble makers (such as I had seen in the past).

Back then, there was not much in the way of "piercings" but there were some tatoos
which were applied to the detriment of those applicants. I never discussed that with applicants,
but thay were not among the successful ones.

A word to the wise is sufficient.

Nah. I dont want much tv at all. I read. I know, I know, Im a nerd. Haha! When I do watch tv, I usually watch Disney Channel or shows like Nikita or Vampire Diaries. Im not into Ghost shows.

Piercings arent for trouble makers. They're cool and cute! If I have a belly button ring no one will see it unless Im wearing a bathing suit or something and I could take my nose ring out when I work. Piercings are awesome! Most of my friends have one.

Im okay. My ipod is still safe and sound LOL and Im done with the racial thread. It was murdered. Haha! But I got the answers to my questions so Im not too upset about it.

I had to do 5 essays in the two 1/2 weeks!! Two from American History and three for English 11. School work takes up all of my time, plus I joined the school dance team and we have practice some days after school for about 2 hours and Im doing gymnastics outside of school. I dont have as much 'computer time' as I did a few months ago.

Im learning about Puritanism and we watched the movie 'The Crucible" and we have to write 2 more essay that are due in 2 weeks. The first essay is just about Puritanism and stuff and the second essay is a Character Analysis for one of the characters from 'The Crucible". I hate it!
