MARITAL HARMONY: AT&T Commercial ????

TV Commercial Scene:
a husband exuberantly tells wife
that he signed up the whole family
for unlimited minutes with AT&T.

Wife bitterly acknowledges
and demands to know where he 's going to get the money for it
and that he shoud have consulted her first.
She then goes on to say that she shoud have married Tom Clark,
as her mother advised.

Husband then tells her that those minutes are free.

With that set up,
a lot of guys 'd be moven to advise her
to USE those minutes to call Clark
to find out whether he remains available NOW.

@OmSigDAVID,
Perhaps they hope people will talk and/or write about it, thus providing
a wider dissemination of company name and product.

@OmSigDAVID,

I wonder at the PROPRIETY of demonstrating disloyalty
within a matrimonial relationship, for the purpose
of promoting sales of an advertizer 's service.

Suppose the genders were switched
in the commercial, so that the husband
bitterly says: "my father told me to marry NANCY Clark"
( instead of Tom Clark, or John Clark, whatever the male name was ).

Woud that be equally socially acceptable?????????

( or is that TOO equal ?? )

WHATAYATHINK????

I think it 'd be fitting
if the husband whose wife told him that she was advised to marry John Clark
that she can use some of the free minutes to call Clark
to ascertain his continued availability.

I guess you hadn't heard. Tom Clark came out of the closet, he's gayer than a Broadway musical on Judy Garland/Liza Minelli vitamins or a Rock Hudson/Tony Randall/Doris Day film.

Why he even penned a book about it and has a website for it. www.tworoadsdiverged.com/Growing_Up_Gay.html
