art and microscope

I'm looking for information about artists who take inspiration from microworld. I would like to find out if microscope view, can be used not only in science but also in art. I know that there are many examples of microphotography... I'm looking for something more than beautiful photos that document microworld... It would be very interesting to find examples in different art disciplines, examples of artworks that interpret, comment, refer to things that we can not see with our naked eye. I would be very grateful for any information.
