At around 4:15 a.m., Joseph Wagner and his family were asleep at home in Greenacres, Fla.
when his teenage daughter heard someone break in through a kitchen door.
After witnessing the criminal wielding butcher knives, the daughter went to her parents room,
where she alerted her father. Wagner retrieved a .44 magnum handgun
and confronted the intruder. After a brief confrontation, the criminal lunged at Wagner,
at which point the homeowner opened fire, killing the home invader.
The intruder’s stepfather made clear he holds no animosity towards Joseph Wagner,
telling local media, “I probably would have done the same thing myself.”

It can be risky to break into people 's homes in Florida.
The citizens r fairly well armed.

.44 Magnum is pretty serious firepower, as an anti-personnel weapon.
