82-year-old Mattie Snow was at home in Toledo, Ohio, when
a burglar broke a window and entered the house. Snow retrieved a gun
and fired two shots at the criminal, causing him to flee.
In his haste, the burglar struck his head while exiting the home
and laid unconscious outside until police arrived.
This wasn’t Snow’s first experience as an armed citizen.
20 years earlier Snow drove off a burglar in similar fashion, earning
her local recognition as the “Senior Sharp Shooter” and a segment
on CBS’s Rescue 911. Snow joked with reporters about the latest intruder,
remarking, “Maybe he hadn't heard it. Maybe he hadn't heard the story.
I'm sure he knows the story now.” (WTOL, Toledo, Ohio 07/07/11)
