2) Why do you need to make German so complicated?


Is the sentence 1) acceptable in Ancient English?
The sentence 2) is good in Modern English no doubt.

There is no such thing as "ancient English." The language is only about 1500 years old. The earliest version is called Old English, or Anglo-Saxon. Purists call it Old English because it is not just strictly a blend of the language of the Angles and the Saxons--Frisian was a very important contributor as well.

Sentence number one is wrong in any version of English.
