@JGoldman10,
Then try a sanitation worker, you know the guys what pick up the trash. Have to strong to keep lifting those trash cans all day and all the other heavy items people toss. Besides, if they're bad guys they need the strength to pick up the body and toss it in the creek.

@Sturgis,
Thank you for your input.

Bounty hunter would work - cats and dogs like to track things and it sounds tough.

What about factory worker? Don't you have to be tough to operate machinery?
Doesn't that require heavy lifting?

Don't you have to be tough to work in a deli or meat market? I would imagine you need to be strong to hang meat up in a meat locker.

@JGoldman10,
Not sure about handyman, although it would place them in several places making them ideal candidates to be in altercations (either causing, adding to or halting them).

factory work is a variable, some jobs would require strength others wouldn't you'd need to be specific when creating the character.

There are also moving men and furniture and appliance delivery men, these usually require a good amount of strength since often they have to carry items up 2 or 3 flights of stairs.

@JGoldman10,
Quite welcome.

Butchers are an interesting idea, they may or may not be physically large and tough....depends if they work in a main plant where the sides of beef etc. are brought in and need to be moved or if they're in a smaller operation (private butcher store or a supermarket) where less strength might be needed. On the plus side is they have several items of weaponry at hand...various knives and cleavers, which they can use either on others or just as a means of scaring someone else.

Hospital orderlies also tend to be bigger muscled and are adept at moving bodies around, add that to their usually good nature it could make an interesting concept if they turn out to be a bad guy.

The people who run boot camps/military schools or dojos/martial arts schools have to be pretty tough.
