My friend Justin wrote this and I totally agree.
I saw a video about an Aztec leader named Nezahualcoyotl who I recommend everyone research because this dude's story about how he came to power is badass AF.
Anyways, when he was a leader he was told by his advisors that the number of theft and stealing crimes were rising. So his solution to this was to plant fruit trees on public streets so that those in poverty could have a free source of food instead of having to steal from people and merchants. And whaddya know, his solution worked and caused the crime rates for theft and stealing to go down.
