In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns.
That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But
there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we do not know
we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this
information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see
as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known
unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown
unknowns.

@George,
I believe that one tops this ,though a more memorable, one I was about to post:

“You go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.”
Defense Secretary Rumsfeld's reply to a soldier's query about shoddy maintenance support. Kuwait, 2004.

Sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage,
just literally 20 seconds of just embarrassing bravery,
And I promise you something great will come of it.
