@Lustig Andrei,
Quote:
The naivetee resides in the absurd hope that doing so would somehow end the attacks on this country.

That not naivete, Merry, that's reality. The US has only been attacked because of its long history of terrorist actions/war crimes against other countries. There is no other reason, not a one.

What country is going to attack the USA? The notion is completely absurd, but sadly, we must note that it is enough, has always been enough to trick you idiots into supporting invasions of the most dangerous countries on the planet - Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba, the Philippines, Angola, Laos, Cambodia, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Panama, Ecuador, ... .

@mismi,
This is a discussion forum, Mismi. You wouldn't be trying to steer the discussion away from US war crimes and US terrorism, would you?

A blind bloke walks into a shop with a guide dog. He picks the Dog up and starts swinging it around his head. Alarmed, a shop assistant calls out: 'Can I help, sir?' 'No thanks,' says the blind bloke. 'Just looking.'

“You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive.”

Direct observation of the testimony of the earth ... is a matter of the laboratory, of the field naturalist, of indefatigable digging among the ancient archives of the earth's history. If Mr. Bryan, with an open heart and mind, would drop all his books and all the disputations among the doctors and study first hand the simple archives of Nature, all his doubts would disappear; he would not lose his religion; he would become an evolutionist.

@edgarblythe,

@Lustig Andrei,
Just utterly love that quote Andrew. Very Happy

EDITED: To be fair, it's a character in a Jane Austen novel who says it not explicitly the author herself. That would be the equal to saying that Stephen Colbert is a deeply conservative Republican because of what he says in his show.

Still, I kind of believe that quote myself.
