@edgarblythe,
Ray understands why I keep exposing y'all to the truth.
@JTT,
When it comes to bothering, you're up there with the best of them.
@George,
The truth bothers you too, does it, George?
"The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means,
Time held me green and dying
Though I sang in my chains like the sea.

"We [Americans] are carefully taught, we teach ourselves that we are a peace loving people but if you read our own history, just in a cursory way, you note that in fact we are a very warlike country.
Over 200 times we have put our forces into other countries to force them to our will. We've been in the business of being a country for about 200 years. We've spent fifty years at war, we've fought fifteen major wars, the average amount of time between one war and the next is ten years."
John Stockwell - One of the limited few honest CIA agents
@JTT,
“Wars are poor chisels for carving out peaceful tomorrows.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
@Enzo,
That's so true, Enzo.

A Slant of Sun on Dull Brown Walls
A slant of sun on dull brown walls,
A forgotten sky of bashful blue.
Toward God a mighty hymn,
A song of collisions and cries,
Rumbling wheels, hoof-beats, bells,
Welcomes, farewells, love-calls, final moans,
Voices of joy, idiocy, warning, despair,
The unknown appeals of brutes,
The chanting of flowers,
The screams of cut trees,
The senseless babble of hens and wise men -
A cluttered incoherency that says at the stars:
'O God, save us!'
Stephen Crane
@edgarblythe,
Everybody has a heart. Except some people.

@edgarblythe,
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”

"Old myths, old gods, old heroes have never died. They are only sleeping at the bottom of our mind, Waiting for our call. We have need for them. They represent the wisdom of our race."
Stanley Kunitz
@Lustig Andrei,
It's a profanity of the highest order to call that 'wisdom', Merry.
