I know from the discussion on great female artists that a few here like Gwen John's (delicate and intimate) paintings. So to let you know there's an online poll organised by Culturenet Cymru that's come up with 100 Welsh heroes. This stage you can vote once weekly for an individual listed. Artists include Gwen John, Richard Wilson, Thomas Jones, Andrew Vicari and Kyffin Williams.
Do check out the various profiles, vote and enjoy!
it sounds interesting but you didn't put a link!
Sorry, you'll find it on Culturenet Cymru website.

www.100welshheroes.com there are some great profiles on there.
Thanks for that. Yeah, there are many deserving and wide-ranging names listed. I was delighted that Jimmy Wilde (a great little boxer), Alfred Russel Wallace, Roald Dahl, John Charles and the enlightened law-maker Hywel Dda all made it. Too often they're overlooked in such things. My only concern is that mass voting for a few less-well known pop/rock stars will distort even the top 10. But otherwise it's a very useful exercise.
