many more that were fought by any other country

I think "many more that were fought by any other country " is flawed both logically and grammatically. What the author really wanted to express is:
many more than that that were fought by any other country.

Am I on the right track?

Context:

America Loves
WAR!

America Loves
KILLING!

America Loves
Oppression!

No place on Earth is like the United States. At this writing (2006) it's been a country for 230 years. In that time it's fought countless wars, many more that were fought by any other country on the planet.

@oristarA,
Looks like a typo (typographical error).
Replace "that" with "than" in the original and it makes sense.

No. Fido is right. It's a probable typo.

(In fact, have you transcribed it wrongly?)

Fido's and mine have grabbed the same handle of the meaning.

I copied that. Click the link attached there please.

@oristarA,

Okay. It is on the original.

That is a typo I often make myself. It's easily done.

A useful clue for me. The most common typo by native English speakers that I've seen for years is "then" for "than." For quite a while I was always stunned by it, wondering why the natives would make such naive mistake.
