@thack45,
I put Ionus on ignore a long time ago. I don't ignore anyone else, but he's just a completely repulsive individual with no positive attributes whatsoever. The only thing you will learn from reading his posts is just how repulsive and moronic he really is.

Dizzythepushover became angry with me because I told her about some Palestinian terrorists who bashed children's brains out on rocks because they were slowing down their escape . She is not anti-Jewish, she is just pro-Palestinian and pro-Nazi .

Yeah. they're religious. Izzy's quote was from a guy (Burroughs) who lived in the 20th century and made a comment about dealing with religious people. Were you talking about 20th century Muslim and Jewish traders that dealt with Burroughs?

This is fallacious reasoning. Should I question the US constitution every time a flag waving patriot of a US citizen breaks a law?

@thack45,
I wasnt aware of the origin of the quote, but it should stand alone or come with an explanation . I am not aware that it would have been impossible for him to deal with Jews or Muslim traders, but my comment was not time specific . I am sure atheists do not make better traders than the religious because they are more trustworthy . At the end of the day, it is only Burroughs opinion . Citing someone is usually done when they are a well recognised authority .

I have expanded the figures to provide a % of the total respondents, and I have ranked them (they were presented to me alphabetically). These stats were obtained from their computer on 5 March 1997.

Dear Mr. Swift:

The Federal Bureau of Prisons does have statistics on religious
affiliations of inmates. The following are total number of
inmates per religion category:

Response Number %
---------------------------- --------
Catholic 29267 39.164%
Protestant 26162 35.008%
Muslim 5435 7.273%
American Indian 2408 3.222%
Nation 1734 2.320%
Rasta 1485 1.987%
Jewish 1325 1.773%
Church of Christ 1303 1.744%
Pentecostal 1093 1.463%
Moorish 1066 1.426%
Buddhist 882 1.180%
Jehovah Witness 665 0.890%
Adventist 621 0.831%
Orthodox 375 0.502%

Sikh 14 0.019%
Bahai 9 0.012%
Krishna 7 0.009%
---------------------------- --------
Total Known Responses 74731 100.001% (rounding to 3 digits does this)

Unknown/No Answer 18381
----------------------------
Total Convicted 93112 80.259% (74731) prisoners' religion is known.

Held in Custody 3856 (not surveyed due to temporary custody)
----------------------------
Total In Prisons 96968

I hope that this information is helpful to you.

Sincerely,

Now, let's just deal with the nasty Christian types, no?

Catholic 29267 39.164%
Protestant 26162 35.008%
Rasta 1485 1.987%
Jewish 1325 1.773%
Church of Christ 1303 1.744%
Pentecostal 1093 1.463%
Jehovah Witness 665 0.890%
Adventist 621 0.831%
Orthodox 375 0.502%
Mormon 298 0.399%

Judeo-Christian Total 62594 83.761% (of the 74731 total responses)
Total Known Responses 74731

Not unexpected as a result. Note that atheists, being a moderate proportion of the USA population (about 8-16%) are disproportionately less in the prison populations (0.21%).

@BillRM,
Do the atheists have any personnel to help those in prison ? Is it possible that once in prison you are stupid not to be born again and look for an easy out ?

Actually it is a known fact that the books of the bible contain errors due to copyists. Since there was no printing press until the 18th century, if people wanted copies of the books of the bible they had to be hand written. We know for sure that there are copies that drastically differ from other copies. Parts that have been removed and also parts that have been added to. In fact we don't even have original copies, the oldest dating copies that exist are 2nd century copies that probably contain errors or added material. There is no way to determine their accuracy but it is safe to say there is probably errors.

This has all be verified by scholastic researchers but there are still people who want to believe that the bible in the form that exists in today has always been in its current form. It's simply not the case.

Christianity in part is actually nothing more than judaism 2.0.

I fail at being descriptive at times and some times I am just wrong.

Why should you question how honest the writers of the bible and their religious leaders were based on dishonest religious people? I would say the same reason that you should question all people. " because sometimes they are wrong and sometimes they are deliberately wrong.

Religious people wrote the bible and other religious people interpret it to others and so on and so on. Maybe they learned dishonesty from their leaders!
Now we do know that most Christians do not deliberately try to be dishonest or should I say, "I hope that we all know this.

Now to your question " Should I question the US constitution every time a flag waving patriot of a US citizen breaks a law? "

Well if this flag waving law breaker has been telling you how great the constitution is and he is breaking constitutional laws then I see no problem questioning the constitution and probably his reasoning for breaking such laws! Wink

This is why I stopped conversing with you. Despite all of your protestations of "let's share" you have already decided we have been led astray.

Taking things a bit out of context aren't you? As far as a filthy mouth goes, yes, in my opinion he has a filthy mouth. However, it is not nearly as filthy as yours. This is my opinion. I am entitled to it. You don't have to like it.

I said maybe you should take Miss Mame's advice and just shut up. I said all I will hear when I see your posts are BLAH, BLAH, BLAH because they mean nothing to me. Yes, I put him on ignore so that I will not be tempted to get in a fight with him. There is nothing wrong with that. You have no compunction of pointing fingers at anyone except yourself.

If you are going to quote me saying something, please be honest and quote it correctly.

If you do not understand how it is that you treat people then I cannot help you to understand it.
