I used to be the biggest Simpsons fan ever; I could (and still can) tell you what happened in every episode, down to the most pointless detail. Thus, I never thought that I'd be asking this question: should it end? Before about Series 10, every episode was guaranteed to be a hit... funny, astute. Now it seems as if they are scraping the barrel as regards to episodes, and to me, the show seems like a pale imitation of its former self. What do you think?
I used to watch the Simpsons in their early years. I haven't even looked at it in many seasons. It will probably remain as long as their ratings make their advertisers happy. Then it will be pulled.
dròm_et_rêve - YOU can make the show end, for you. If it no longer pleases you, why watch it?
And if it really, REALLY pisses you off... boycott the advertisers and tell them why.
I think it got crappy for a while. It is much better this year- not as good as before but still pretty funny. I wish they would focus on Homer more- those episodes are usually pretty good.
What, no more masturbate over Marge nights?
I think this series has gotten a little away from being surreal.
I think the new episodes are still funny, but there are only like 6 new episodes a season. So, they end up running the same episode 2 or 3 times in a short period.
What? You guys don't think that Marge is like, totally hot?
Just what is it you like about marge- the hair?
I watched it from the beginning on the Tracy Ulman show through the first three or four seasons. Now I will look at an episode only if I happen to be with someone else who likes it.
I never knew that they had started cutting down to only six new episodes per season: that shows a lack of inspiration...
As for cjsha's obsession with Marge- going as far as Thailand to get Simpsons pornography- I don't know; maybe it's the voice that does it for him.
I think that the first four series were the best of them, Edgar... but it really went downhill after the Ninth.
I think that show sucks, I can't wait for it to end.
