when is Schroedinger's cat dead, and when is it not?

Schrödinger says that according to the Copenhagen Interpretation, as long as the door is closed, the cat is dead and alive. There is no way to know until the door is opened. But by opening the door, the person is interfering with the experiment.

I haven't studied the matter. Based on this, I'd say Schroedinger was full of it.
