I don't have a ritual for eating them, but I love boiled peanuts. Usually, you could only find them in roadside stands, but now Walmart has started carrying them, at least in Texas.

Just when ya thought it couldn't get any worse...
Oreo unveils Firework flavor. Um, er, ugh! The familiar outside with the standard cream filling has red and blue popping candies in the cream.
Sturgis, I've gone from annoyed to enraged. Are the sales of Oreos so bad that they have to keep adding more and more stuff, all of it doing nothing but destroying the original cookie. Popping candies? Shame on Nabisco.
Good thought... though literally not relevant to this thread.

@tsarstepan,
tsar, I'm still mystified as to why Nabisco feels the need to "improve" Oreos. They ain't making enough money? It's now a challenge for me to find real Oreos on the shelf. I keep some in the house for emergencies.
A neighbour/friend tends to offload things she buys to try that don't work out - or someone in her house is allergic to. In the last bag? lemon thin oreos and pistachio thin oreos.
I already love the lemon thins - they're just good, though too much goo for me so I peel out half. The pistachio ones? hmmm. the innards are green, so you think they'll be mint. Nope. the pistachio cream tastes like not so sweet regular oreo filling. Always interesting what K finds at the cookie outlet.
(also in the latest surprise bag - 3 cans of poutine sauce and a small bag of Walkers Crisps - the poutine sauce made a decent marinade for a pork roast)

This may sound blasphemous but have you ever tried Trader Joe's version of Oreos? Joe Joes? They're really good.
