Dental Implants as a Replacement for Dentures...

Odd question: My grandmother asked me to Google this for her, and I couldn't find the answer. I see that people are using Dental Implants as a replacement for dentures, but a single dental implant is very expensive, and I saw that in some cases teeth can be anchored off the side of a dental implant. So... Can only a few dental implants be installed and like six in the top of the jaw and six in the bottom and a full set of teeth be anchored to that?

@MrIVI,
I imagine so, but I have one dental implant and it was a major pain in terms of a lot of visits to get it done. Plus, as you have seen, they are rather expensive.
