@JPB,
OK, so i've been waiting around to give you time to check it out. Do you think FF4.0 is worth it?

@Setanta,
Yeah, I like it as of today. I haven't checked out the "Private Browsing" feature but I'm the only one who uses this computer.

I also like that I can expand the size of the text box in posting replies. I don't think that was available before. It's a bit faster. And I like the app tabs feature.

@Cycloptichorn,
Good to know. That will speed up my conversion.

@Ticomaya,
Okay, so I've been using the new version for a while, and I gotta ask - do you find yourself actually using those menu buttons on any regular basis? I thought I would miss having them right there, but I really don't, b/c it turns out I never really hit them that often anyway. And if you do need them, they are all right there under the 'firefox button.'

I can't get over how much bigger the pages are. They are a lot bigger.

I have a "Most Visited" link at the far left of the browser toolbar, mso.

It's "recent pages" on the 3.6 version I've reverted to, JPB. Couldn't find the equivelent on the 4.0 version & it was driving me nuts! Smile
(say nothing of confusing Butrflynet, who couldn't figure out what I was talking about!)

Useful reading your input on 4.0, Cyclo.
No doubt at some point I'll have to have another go at it & the information you've posted will definitely help. (I hope!)
Thanks.

@msolga,
Actually I was able to figure it out after looking at BBB's browser configuration and told you where you'd find it on yours.

@JPB,
I somehow like the new look and feel of FF4. Quite satisfied with it so far.

I haven't installed the new Firefox because it warns me of a conflict with one aspect of our Kapersky anti-virus program, and it has been working too well to interfer with it just for more bells and whistles.

@ehBeth,
After I lost most of my bookmarks the last time my hard disc died on me, I now made a screen shot of my bookmarks and printed it out - very convenient!

MsOlga, I love Firefox 8.0 - I don't even remember how the old set up looked like.

OK ,one solid thumbs up.
I think I'll wait for a few more, Jane.
I don't want to have to spend too much time tinkering & sorting out potential problems at the moment.

ehBeth, have you resolved your problems yet?
Or still using IE?
