16 ounces in a pound
14 pounds in a stone
2 stones in a quarter
4 quarters in a hundredweight (cwt.)
(so, 112 pounds in 1 cwt)
20 cwt in 1 ton

(which is very similar in weight to 1 tonne, or "metric ton")
