If a pizza is round then why does it come in a square box?

@jbrown1602,
Square boxes are easy and cheap to make, square boxes stack neatly and fold easily.
We used to get pizza in a round box but they were made from recycled paper and not very attrctive looking.

Would a round box still be called a box?

It would be more cost effective to put them in plastic bags.

@edgarblythe,
Steam from a hot pizza would make them soggy and carrying them would be impossible.

It's invariably easier to keep stuff in square containers. Paint manufacturers are finally figuring that out.

As soon as I figure out how to make a can opener for a square container.

@Joe Nation,
But by then manufacturers will have made pull tops on everything.

I await the day.

Tell me about it.

It will also put a new spin on breast feeding.

It's going to be an exciting tomorrow George.

Paesano! You couldn't get the pizza out of the box if it was round, doh. But why aren't pizzas square? Why does it have to be round?

@ossobuco,
They also called 'em piss mires, due to the rather dull-witted belief that they were spontaneous generated in a piss mire, the puddle formed when one voids one's bladder au naturel . . .
