I recently purchased a silver series system and had my water softener guy hook it up. However on the salt tank he did not hook anything up to the elbow. My salt tank does not fill up with water. Can you tell me what goes there or how to hook it up? I have searched online with no luck.

The elbow is for when/if the brine tank overflows.
Did your plumber forget to take the system off by-pass?
Is the system keeping the correct time?
