@chai2,
My question is what OS is it going to be running and is it just a shell around a normal PC?

is re-releasing its flagship computer, this time with all the amenities of a modern-day computer packed inside.

has been souped up for the modern age. It comes with a 1.8 gigahertz dual-core processor, an optional Blu-ray player and built-in ethernet and HDMI ports. It runs the Linux operating system but the company says you can install Windows if you like.

I wonder how big the processor is?

Sorry a C-64 OS can not run a modern computer and all it is a shell that look and feel like a C-64.

See that part of the story that had been posted here.

It runs the Linux operating system but the company says you can install Windows if you like. The new Commodore is priced between $250 to $900.

The new Commodore 64, which will begin shipping at the end of the month, has been souped up for the modern age. It comes with a 1.8 gigahertz dual-core processor, an optional Blu-ray player and built-in ethernet and HDMI ports

It's just a novelty PC, a perfectly normal mini-ITX PC with a dual core Atom CPU, stuffed inside a replica of the original Commodore 64 case. You can make it run a C64 emulator at boot time, but it isn't really a Commodore 64.

@chai2,
really neato peachy keen, if it's a good competitive computer, I'd be very interesting in buying one for Lady Diane.
