I used to have a yummy recipe for muffins using ground almonds and hazelnuts instead of flour. I'll see if I can find it.

I have lately been taking wheat out of my diet as much as I can. Maybe I will settle for a cornmeal muffin.

@dadpad,
If you dont mind, I would really like some blueberry muffins.

I love them and will eat all of them you can make.

If you cant make those, I am not picky and will eat anything that wont eat me first.

@Tai Chi,
Sorry Rockhead, I know I got rid of the cookbook but I was hoping I'd kept that particular recipe but I can't find it. If it turns up on the internet I'll post it.

Baked goods made with rice or potato flour taste...hmmm...different. Better than nothing but not as good as the real thing. The nut "flour" muffins were really tasty. I'll keep looking around for the recipe.

@Rockhead,
someone seems to be in a bit of a split-personality mood, following pom, GW and me around this aft

<shrug>

they'll have to cope with the gluten-free side of life

I'm poking around, trying to find mrs. hamburger's recipe for flourless hazelnut torte - I think it could be nicely modified into muffins or other baked goods

I got my fingers smacked for trying the muffins She was making for drama rehearsal.
She took a batch with her and came home with the leftover cupcakes someone else made. No blueberry muffins came home though. I think we got a raw deal.
The banana muffins are in the freezer ehbeth. with canada being a frozen wasteland you'd be used to that.

$12.00 a kilo for bananas can you believe that?

@dadpad,
I'm having a hard time believing the price of the bananas.

I thought they were expensive at $0.89/pound here last week.

yanno, it's snowing right now. I need a hot cocoa and a muffin.
