Silks: fabric. (I assume this has something to do with your Hathaway questions?)

I would assume that "hand-blocked" means hand-printed with block printers. (A block is carved, dye is applied to it, and then the block is applied to the fabric, leaving a print.)

For example:

So, they are talking about hand-printed silk fabric from England.
