The 1980s and 1990s was a renaissance of the cartoon series for children and adults. Various broadcast networks and media companies began creating television channels and formats designed specifically for airing cartoon series. Companies that already had these types of formats in place began to revamp their existing models during this time.
Cartoons for the MOST PART were quality productions. Why have they churned out so much crap since 2000?
During the '80s and '90s animation went through a renaissance. A lof of jobs were created back then. I think they churn out so much crappy programs these days because they got new tech to help produce these shows so that gives them an excuse to be lazy. People care more about quantity and not quality. There's a moral declavity in society and that influence is infultrating cartoons.
