tech said unit has defective circut board, board cost $500.00 parts only(gold series) any comments, suggestions, can someone validate or give some references to correct.
You're asking your question here very early in the morning, based on Eastern daylight savings time in the United States. There is at least one member here--H2O Man--who might be able to answer your question, but you'll need to be patient. It's not yet even 5:00 a.m. on the east coast of the United States. I don't know where H2O Man lives, but you'll probably have to wait at least a few, and maybe several hours for an answer.

Is that a culligan unit? Make sure it is plugged in. If it is you can check to see if it works by pressing the left side button and see if it displays. If the time comes on you can manually check it out. Did you have a power outage? A circuit board could be damaged by it and would be covered under your homeowners policy less your deductible. You would have the repairman to note that and call your insurance agent to make sure they would cover it and how much out of pocket it will ultimately cost you. If it is 10 years old or more you may want to replace it. Steve G
