I believe there are actually three ducks in your picture Don.
I have goosebumps after reading that article. Clary, you and yr sons are strong and worth of the highest possible esteem..

Yes there are Cav, I was pointing out the beauty of the male of the species which the female in the middle doesn't have
Thank you all for your kind words. Alas I'm no saint - perhaps just as well really! My sons are FANTASTIC and I don't care who knows it! You can see them in the gallery.
Good-looking as well, Gautam - and 2 of them in London!
Here's a cute duck for today, a hooded merganser displaying:
Now, that REALLY is a duckhead!!

Normally I would have asked for their phone number or offered them mine....
Mandarins in the wild in Britain, Don1? No, that doesn't sound right.
I live not far from a city park with a large collection of waterfowl. All are native North American species except the Mandarins, which I suppose the collectors just couldn't resist. They really are beautiful.
Would someone please give me a link to Clary's article? Thanks....
That's clever of you to find the direct link, Osso, I couldn't!
It was already posted here
The documenatry is, btw, the "PICK OF THE DAY".
Thank you, osso. Enlightening article.
My heart goes out to you, Clary. My father also died by suicide, so I know a little of what you must have gone through. (((((HUG)))))
Thanks, Eva, it is a hard thing to cope with. <<<returned hug!>>>
I must clarify something...I may have been too protective of Clary's feelings when I said I'd rather have her post the link. It was not an admonition for Walter.
I prefer to err on the side of caution...
Alles es gutt Walter.
Clary, I am currently trying to find out if the documentary will be aired here, on BBC Canada. My wife and I read the article and were extremely moved. If the film won't be airing, she will find a way to get it, as she works in the industry.
I didn't see your link, Walter, just that it was gone. I got it by Clary saying go to telegraph.co.uk....
Panz, Clary been quite straightforward on a2k about her family saga, but most haven't seen her posts on the situation as some happened like this one, within another thread, and one early thread that probably got missed. She has been direct and dignified - it's part of why I admire her.
And, Clary, I'm glad you're not a complete saint. We all prefer non-saints for friends..
That duck makes me want to play football.
Or perhaps "footduck" would be a better description.
Sorry for the tangenting, duckies, but this is where some of us saw Clary's announcement and some saw her story for the first time.
Let's figure the ducks are quacking in her favor.
Anyone want to talk about Coots?
