I have a question. Why the heck is private gun ownership banned in the outback? Jeesh, it's not like you don't have enough room to shoot safely. And plenty of hoppers to shoot at too.

Plenty of time not to shoot, too, which is quieter, less expensive, and more sensible.
cjhsa, it is not banned. Certain types of firearms are, (quite a few types) but as long as you have a shooting licence, a legally registered gun and your on the right land you can blast away to your hearts content.
