Could someone please explain to me, in the simplest possible way, how I can use something written on another site (dictionary description of a words meaning) or on this site (verbatim quote from another poster) to include in my posts.

Also, be sure to click on the green text called BBCode Editor that is above the post composition box. That will give you access to all the post editing and formatting tools.

@PaddyH,
Basically, you highlight and copy from a source then open up a new post box and paste that copied data into the box. To show that it has been quoted, first use the quote button and paste the text between the two codes.
