How do I delete PMs?

You can't delete them, I'm afraid.

Or if you can, it's news to me.

we haven't been able to delete pm's in quite a while (certainly more than a year), if i remember there's a magic number of pm's that will accumulate (500 i think)) and after that the oldest will automatically delete
