BTW, by definition if you're a Christian you're "born-again".
That certainly depends on who makes this definition.

I'm a Christian, like 70% of the German population is, by definition, statistics, registry office etc.

(And I'm glad that I might be "by and large OK"., izzy Wink )

I guess it can be called whatever, but the terminology comes from the Bible, specifically John 3:3-8 and 1Peter 1:3 I believe.

A Christian is a person who adheres to Christianity, from the Greek Χριστιανός.

In English,look here:
Quote:
Acts 11:26
English Standard Version (ESV)
26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.

@JGoldman10,
I was laughing at what FBM said about sleeping wrong on his pillow. It really had nothing to do with you. I agree this has nothing to do with the subject of your topic, and I'm sorry about that. But FBM's quip still was funny and was made at no one's expense, including your own. So, everything's cool!

@izzythepush,
Oh and for the record izzy, you'll not hear me refer to myself as a 'born again christian'.

Hope I get the 'by and large' pass for that.

@JGoldman10,
Your title is confusing. Are you asking if people here are Christians or if their members are?

Did you take this matter up with the Bishop before posting it Jason? How will he feel knowing that you're discussing members in public like this?

@xrisxs,
what are you talking about???????? You make NO sense here. you seem to attempt to disprove God but then conclude his existence. in MY opinion, in responsce to your statements on blasphemy, the only blasphemous thing you could do is to personify god as a humanlike entity aside from jesus. even calling God him or He is blasphemous because God is a limitless being. God is everywhere, knows everything, and is all powerful, so therefor when we talk in terms that specify ANYTHING about God you are limiting his existence and will; assuming such an existence is so
