What's on yours?

Cooking for just myself this year so thought I would do the following:

I will be starting with a lovely Prawn Cocktail
This will be followed by Roast Peppers stuffed with mushrooms, cheese and pesto.
Following by Roast Chicken basted in thyme and basil and stuffed with a thyme/basil/mushroom/celery and pesto cornbread stuffing. Served with Roast Pot, Mashed Pot, Sprouts, carrots, peas and sweetcorn.

Finally, and if there's room, sticky toffee pudding with custard.

All washed down with beer.

Enjoy whatever you are having. Cool

Yummy, that sounds good. Usually we have a small turkey, ham or roast beef, but this year we are having chinese and moms homemade cherry cheese pie. We did the beer last night, so we are recovering today.

That all sounds pretty good there. Mrs. cav did up a traditional bone-in smoked picnic shoulder, Trinidad style, wrapped in roti dough. Her mother brought some Trinidad stew-duck, and I made some herb-roasted winter vegetables with Yukon Gold potatoes and sweet potatoes. Last night, I made a small boneless lamb leg roast with a maple-dijon glaze, sage and mint. We just had a simple salad with that.

We had:

xmas eve
mushroom/chesnut soup
halibut in a citrus marinade - grilled
asian cole slaw
french greenbeans
rum drinks with pineapple/coconut or apple cider, white wine

xmas
appetizers - mushroom/artichoke in phillo dough with 2 different kinds of dip
lasagna - half spinach, half eggplant w/no-fat mozzerella
mixed green salad with pomegranate seeds
something else......? I forgot already
Rum drinks with spiced cider, red wine

desserts - meringue dipped in chocolate (bad idea), russian cookies(?), rumballz, biscotti, a family traditional cookie that I don't know a name for.....

My mother did most of the cooking. Amazing feat really.
