"according to classes i took in math 0 is not a prime number"

You must have gone to a good school. Very Happy But what is the answer?

Zero is not a prime or a composite number either. Zero has an infinite number of divisors (any nonzero whole number divides zero). It cannot be written as a product of two factors, neither of which is itself, so zero is also not composite. It falls in a class of numbers called zero-divisors. These are numbers such that, when multiplied by some nonzero number, the product is zero.

The most important fact of multiplication of integers is called the
Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic. It says that every whole number
greater than one can be written *uniquely* (except for their order) as the product of prime numbers.

MyO, First class, Cool all correct. Very Happy Now take it easy.

1. 10x10=100÷1/2=200+12=212
NOTE: For another way to look at this - "8x10=80÷1/2=160+12=172"
as you have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs!

7a. Alternate solution to the above answer is a well thought out solution; it eliminates having 1 person waiting to play at a later time:
The first round is 50 matches eliminating 50 golfers, the second is 25 matches eliminating 25 golfers. For the third round the remaining 25 are divided into pools of 5 at random and face two matches each (each vs. a different randomly selected opponent in the pool). I think you will find that there will be two golfers and two only from each pool who will be dual winners. They will advance. The third round was then 5 pools of 5 matches so 25 more matches (100 total so far). The fourth round will be 5 matches eliminating 5 golfers. These five participate in a pool (fifth round) just like the third round (5 more matches and 2 emerge). The two play the championship match. So by round the matches are: 50+25+25+5+5+1 = 111 matches

What no 8?

First of all i would like to note that this equation is not right ---> 8x10=80÷1/2=160+12=172

what you are saying is in fact that 8x10 is equal to 172 which is not. ( also learned in the same classes  )

first you fill up the 3 liter gallon and throw it over in the 5 liter gallon, then you fill up the 3 liter gallon throw it over in 5 liter gallon which can only have 2 more liters and then its full, so what's left in the liter gallon is exactly 1 liter

2x2 = 4

4/(2/3) = 6
so there were 6 oranges originally

"…8x10 is equal to 172 which is not."

What you must understand is, both MyO and I went to the same school. It was not until years later that it was known that the Math teacher was an escaped mental paitent.

A very bright and sunny Day
The Priest did to the Verger say:
"Last Monday met I strangers three
None of which were known to Thee.
I ask'd Them of Their Age combin'd
which amounted twice to Thine!
A Riddle now will I give Thee:
Tell Me what Their Ages be!"

So the Verger ask'd the Priest:
"Give to Me a Clue at least!"
"Keep Thy Mind and Ears awake,
And see what Thou of this can make.
Their Ages multiplied make plenty,
Fifty and Ten Dozens Twenty."

The Verger had a sleepless Night
To try to get Their Ages right.
"I almost found the Answer right.
Please shed on it a little Light."
"A little Clue I give to Thee,
I'm older than all Strangers three."
After but a little While,
the Verger answered with a Smile:
"Inside my Head has rung a Bell.
Now I know the answer well!"

Now, the question is:
How old is the Priest Question

Quote magnum, "24" (Who went to a very good school) Very Happy

7. Divide 250 by 11 which equals 22.8. Now when you combine the extra 8 scraps with the scraps you'll have from the 22 bars, you'll have 30 more scraps. They will produce 2 more bars; so the total additional bars will be 24.

The recent expedition to the lost city of Atlantis discovered scrolls attributed to the great poet, scholar, philosopher Ephine. They number eight in all, and here is the first.
The kingdom of Mamajorca, was ruled by queen Henrietta I. In Mamajorca women have to pass an extensive logic exam before they are allowed to get married. Queens do not have to take this exam.

All the women in Mamajorca are loyal to their queen and do whatever she tells them to. The queens of Mamajorca are truthful. All shots fired in Mamajorca can be heard in every house. All above facts are known to be common knowledge. Henrietta was worried about the infidelity of the married men in Mamajorca. She summoned all the wives to the town square, and made the following announcement. "There is at least one unfaithful husband in Mamajorca. All wives know which husbands are unfaithful, but have no knowledge about the fidelity of their own husband.

You are forbidden to discuss your husband's faithfulness with any other woman. If you discover that your husband is unfaithful, you must shoot him at precisely midnight of the day you find that out." Thirty-nine silent nights followed the queen's announcement. On the fortieth night, shots were heard. Queen Henrietta I is revered in Mamajorcan history.

As with all philosophers Ephine doesn't provide the question, but leaves it implicit in his document. So figure out the questions - there are two - and answer them. Question Question

Here is Ephine's second scroll.

Queen Henrietta I was succeeded by daughter queen Henrietta II. After a while Henrietta like her famous mother became worried about the infidelity problem. She decided to act, and sent a letter to her subjects (wives) that contained the exact words of Henrietta I's famous speech. She added that the letters were guaranteed to reach all wives eventually. Queen Henrietta II is remembered as a foolish and unjust queen.

What is the question and answer implied by this scroll Question

Either Craig or Sandra called on Friday.

Jennifer either brought the cherry pie or the pecan pie.

Vivian called at least three days after the person bringing the pumpkin pie.

Stanly called either the day before or the day after the person who decided to bring the sour cream & raisin pie.

Five friends met together at a high school reunion. They chatted about old times as well as current issues. Each one in turn said what their profession was. One of the women was in college working on her master's degree in botany. At the reunion, they noticed that each of the women were wearing a piece of jewellery that was different from each other in function and the gemstone type. Two of the pieces were a ruby necklace and a sapphire bracelet. Match each person to their profession and piece of jewellery.

The attorney noticed that Julie's eyes exactly matched the colour of the gemstone that she was wearing.

Wanda and Wilma chatted about old boyfriends they had. Wilma couldn't stop noticing the tennis bracelet that Wanda was wearing.

Mary chatted politely to the two friends in the medical profession. How strange it seemed to her that they both chose to wear the same colour gemstone.

The teacher explained that blue had always been her favourite colour and that all her accessories had blue stones as well.

The attorney was not wearing the leaf pin accented with a one carat emerald. However, she noticed that that pin would coordinate with her ring with a leaf motif.

Sarah explained how her job as a nurse was very rewarding to her. She really enjoyed helping people in need. Her earrings glittered as she talked.

The fireman is still 100 yards away when she falls and can't nearly get there in time. The woman is not hurt more than a bruise.

How is that possible

She falls backwards into her apartment

A headless man had a letter to write;
It was read by a man who had lost his sight.
The dumb repeated it word for word;
And deaf was he who listened and heard.

Apart from the first line "O" fits, pronounced "nothing"

a blind man can read nothing
a dumb man can repeat nothing
a deaf man can hear nothing
but a headless man cant write a letter Confused
