I have a landscape painting that is not signed on the front, but on the back of the canvas is written "Ballynahinch, Jos Warner 1887." I assume the first name is "Joseph" but note there are some Dutch artists with first names of "Jos," so it could be either, although "Warner" doesn't sound Dutch. Can't find anything about the artist online. Does anyone know anything about him?

I don't think so. The technique in the painting I have is much more detailed and the subject matter somewhat different in feel. I did find this artist online myself and pretty well ruled out that he is the same one, although the time period seems to match up. But thanks for trying.
