@Arella Mae,
I have no doubt, Arella Mae, that animal hoarders love their animals. I also believe that they are obsessed and mentally unstable. They can't see the reality of what they're doing to themselves or the animals.
@Roberta,
Stinky called me a hoarder when I brought Bubba home.
but he eventually got used to her...
There was a time in my life when I had three cats. I never considered myself a hoarder.
@Rockhead,
I don't think he got used to her. I think she scared him into submission.
No more than three animals per the number of bedrooms in the residence.

@Joe Nation,
DOES THIS MEAN nine animals for a three bedroom home???
@mags314772,
and one per bathroom, if they are small. (the animals, not the bathrooms)
Has anyone watched that animal hoarding show on Animal Planet? I've watched maybe three episodes. Horrified. Doody and pee on the floor. Hair on everything. No place to sit down--for the humans or the animals. Family members come to visit and wear face masks. The stench is overwhelming. A woman was so obsessed that she wouldn't let her dogs out of the house. The humane society, the animal police, the board of health--everybody was threatening these people. I don't think seven cats applies unless you're all living in a closet.
I just been watching Mythbusters on TV laying on my bed with four cats surrounding me and one on top of my computer table near by.
The size of the home does not matter all that must if they all wishes at least at times to be near me no matter where I am in the house.
