@DrewDad,
That's a cool idea.

My only real problem is Mr. B -- who buys a million different kinds of socks.

For me and Mo I get rid of all of our old socks and replace them all at once with the same brand and style. That way all of his socks match and all of my socks match without having to think about it.

Mr. B will buy several styles and brands, all just slightly different It drives me crazy. I know he doesn't do it in an attempt to drive me crazy -- he isn't the passive agressive type -- he just insists he needs different socks.

@Setanta,
Do they really get clean if you tie them together?

Mo's socks get funky. Seriously funky.

I've only seen that one Hoarders show but I have seen news reports about hoarders. I was surprised to see that there was a show about it because I never would have thought that it was a common problem.

We seem to have a lot of animal hoarders in the PNW (serial killers and animal hoarders -- what's up with that?) but it seems like these people usually start with good intentions and things just get out of control so I'm not sure it's hoarding in the classic sense.

@boomerang,
How long does he wear a pair of socks before he changes them?

It helps to wash a medium size load on the large load setting. The think that's tricky is drying them. They take a long time to dry that way--but you don't get mismatched socks that way.

@Setanta,
wouldn't it be easier to safety pin them together...?

Well, i'll probably get in trouble for telling you this, but . . . the rest of the country got together and decided to send all the weirdos to the PNW. We used to send 'em to California, but after about a hunnert years, the nickel dropped for them boys, and we had to find another dump.

@Setanta,
He only wears them for a day but we live in the mud zone and he plays rough.

I only wear Smartwool and other fine quality socks. I can't even begin to explain the difference that they have made in my workout and life in general: my feet are always comfortable, even in the heat or cold, they don't smell, they last forever. Totally worth the money!
