Cant delete Startup folder

this website and the question about the startup file wanting to be deleted from the desktop is FABULOUS!! what a help! I not only used it once but twice, when I failed to find the REAL startup folder...everything is in it's rightful place now thanks to your help...I can't say enough about all the question and answer sesssion. eveything was a help to me, bebbie

For future reference: use the MSConfig utility if you want to prevent items from starting up.

Start->Run->msconfig->select the Startup tab->uncheck the items that you want to prevent from starting automatically.
