Doing most of my shopping online. Works out great, I avoid the crowds, the hassles, the flu....
This is what it looks like in my adopted hometown of Harbor Springs, MI, this time of year:
Quote:...takes lights out of the cardboard box but leaves them in their square plastic packing so they're neatly kept.
Mr. Piffka sounds like my kind of guy. Lazy, practical, bah-humbuggish.
The kind of people who keep order in the world.
Rauch - any of the birthdays fall on the 23rd?
cjhsa, thanx for the photos. eeeewww michigan is cold and snowy and windy.

Yup. I'm sure he'd be right at home in the swamp.
cjhsa, is that a painting? looks like one at that size... very nice.
margo , Yes you are in summer. A raging summer too. California had terrible fires also just a month ago.
It must be lil' K who is the sagittarius.
Great photo. Do you ever get snow in Sydney. I think that might be a stupid question , but you know what they say," there is no stupid question." [ Maybe just stupid people. ] Do you get to the beach much? I'm jealous if you do.
It's never snowed in Sydney, to my knowledge, and I've lived here all my life, so far! Sydney has roughly the same climate as San Diego, I think.
I have very typical pink / white Irish skin, a product of my heritage, so I go to the beach seldom, unless it's early morning or late afternoon. My friend has an apartment at the beach just a bit south of Sydney, and that's ideal - I can go early for a surf, and then get back inside and read. Australian sun is pretty fierce on those who are out during the day, even with blockout!
We can all be angels in the snow.

Yes, that is a painting of Harbor Springs in winter done by French ex-patriot Pierre Bittar, who lives there at least in summer. Visit his website here (beware the faint of wallet):
