It's showing for me, but it's tooo too small.

The eighth choice, twelve days and counting down, reminded me of my days in the Navy. I clearly remember waiting for Christmas because I would be on leave for three weeks. I counted the days.

When the big day finally came, I went straight to Singapore and cavorted with whores and drank cheap whiskey for the duration of my leave.

Upon returning to the ship one of my friends snapped a photo of me.

I still have it.




I'll tell you.... those ol' Singapore gals really drained me.

Zoolights is so cool... I love to see the new stuff that the zoo society adds every year. There is a formal and expensive ball on the first night, but after that everyone can stroll through the zoo for a small entrance fee and be entranced by the lights. Especially good when it is NOT RAINING, though I've strolled in the rain before and agreed that the rain does make the lights more twinkly! (Dang, we're Pollyannas around here!) I've never seen it in the snow though... sigh. We just don't get snow here.

i wonder if i can package up some snow for you, piffka. i am verra verra annoyed with the snow right now. Last night's beautifully stick straight hair was attacked by the snow when i took the dogs out today, and it's freakin' poofity again!

Our Zoo lights up everything at this time of year. We went and it was so cold.
