my daughter is sure of getting 80 % marks and I have promised a gift - but with a rider that if she gets less than 75 % , then she will not get the same.I want to write in such a way that it must not hurt her or displease her can I write
Dear ....
In the unlikelyhood of your not getting 75 % marks , then you will not get the gift this month .
or write
In the likelyhood of your not getting 75 % marks, then you will not get the gift this month .
Which is the correct way of writing .\
First of all, the word is spelled likelihood. Second, i rather doubt that there is such a word as "unlikelihood."
Try this:
"In the unlikely event of your not getting 75 % marks , then you will not get the gift this month."
There is a stock phrase "in the unlikely event of . . ."--i'd say, use that.
@guru18,
Dear ...
We love and miss you so much. Good luck with the studying. All our best. Go for it.
