I don't save anything on my computer, rather I save it to my email and photobucket. But everything is completely organized in it's own folder/ subfolder. So I may have thousands of files but I know where to find each one. I also have an external harddrive for my photos, documents and music, which are also filed. I don't see a problem with keeping a lot of files as long as they are ones you have a use for and know where they are when you need them.
