What movie do you remember fondly that seems to be out of favor or lost?

@Roberta,
always loved the Thin Man, bought the entire series in a dvd box set, and watch them regularly

@djjd62,
I managed to tape each film separately. Saved 'em. Watch 'em. So what if Nicky is a drunk. Still witty and fun. Good mysteries. Wonderful supporting characters.

Remembering James Stewart as the villain. Whoda thunk?

The Magnificent Ambersons.

I saw it in a film class in high school and have never seen it again -- despite looking for it once in a while. Now I see that it is available in 10 minute bits on youtube!

The Magnificent Ambersons has a long, convoluted history. It has, to my knowledge, never been released in the US on DVD. The rights are caught up in a tangle, a legacy left in the aftermath of the dismantling of the studio, RKO. The version on Youtube is undoubtedly unauthorized.

Light in the Piazza with Olivia de Havilland (in Dior), Yvette Mimeaux and George Hamilton.

@joefromchicago,
Interesting! It truly is a "lost" film.

I hope it stays up on youtube until I get a chance to watch it.

@Diane,
Dr.Strange love is one of the great modern classics.
but i've enjoyed Adaptation, I <3 Huckabees, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
few have heard of the first 2, and the last one is oft heard of but rarely seen

@boomerang,
I started watching them, but I have limited internet access and a power outage made them all start loading fresh again. Looks interesting!
